We have enlisted Ritchie Gregory twice for family beach photos. She is technically skilled, personally engaging, and has a wonderful creative eye. Ritchie expertly arranged the setting, poses, and lighting on the beach right in front of our house. We all enjoyed the shoot and were able to have photos taken of different family groupings, as well as various candid and active shots. The resulting photographs are beautiful and we will treasure them forever!

My wife passed away a little over a year ago. As I went through photos of our life together, I found a very special one that I took on our honeymoon in Jamaica. Carrol was holding a lovely hibiscus flower to her cheek, and the look on her face struck me as “I dare you to tell me which one is prettier!” A friend suggested that I have a portrait painted based on that photo. My top priority for the project was to capture that look.
I found R Gregory Photography’s website; and their sample portraits did capture the subjects’ looks, so I commissioned a work. Adelaide Rooney was my artist, and she quickly grasped what I was striving for. We went through several iterations of digital images, especially alternate backgrounds. Then she went to work on the painting. When I saw the finished work, I cried—it was so beautiful….and LIFE-LIKE!
I gave Adelaide an old, faded photo taken by an amateur (me), and she gave me a Mona Lisa. Now I have a masterpiece of my own. How can I ever thank you?
We had a family reunion on in Sandbridge Beach VA. I was very lucky to have found R. Gregory Photography to memorialize our special time together. Adelaide Rooney is a fabulous photographer --a real professional. We had a group of 31 people to wrangle into various profiles. Adelaide managed every detail right down to the time of day to take pictures on the beach. We had in our group a number of younger grandchildren down to 2 years old. She was terrific with them getting them to smile while looking at the camera. No small feat. She puts a lot of energy into her work, organizing shots of small groups and then, of course, the large group. The end result was a large number of fantastic photos to be treasured by all who took part for years to come. Thank you Adelaide! You are a talented professional.
