Hello! My name is Adelaide Rooney, and this is my best boy, Frank.
We love exploring Hampton Roads, discovering all the fun and beautiful places it has to offer. Our favorite days are spent at the gorgeous parks and beaches in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and the surrounding cities—always with a stop to make new friends at one of the many pet-friendly breweries or restaurants on the way home. We think this place is pretty special and the people are just the best!
I was raised in Vermont and lived in New York and Connecticut before deciding to "briefly" settle as close to Sandbridge Beach as possible. My plan was to eventually head out west, but while I still love New England and visit every year, coastal Virginia stole my heart. Long story short—15 years later, I still have no plans to leave!
As an artist, I began working at R. Gregory Photography shortly after arriving in Virginia Beach, and I couldn’t have been luckier to find such a wonderful studio. Learning so much about art, family, life, and love through my work has been a privilege that few get to experience, and I’m incredibly grateful to do what I do. Today, I have the joy of creating high-quality portraiture throughout coastal Virginia and for vacationing families from all over the country. It's a dream come true!

About the Founder and Master Photographer, Ritchie Gregory
"I received my first camera as a gift when I was very young and a new world was introduced," Ritchie Gregory.
Since receiving her first camera as a child, she followed her passion of photographing people and families with a commitment to quality that put her at the top of her field. In 2015 - after decades of experience and artistry - Ritchie finally shifted her focus to mark her achievements with the certifications of 'Certified Professional Photographer' and finally 'Master Photographer' through the highest national association we have in the US, Professional Photographers of America. By this time, Ritchie had touched the lives of tens-of-thousands with her kind and earnest spirt. Her "heart opens up when I photograph people; it is a wonderful Feeling!"
Following that sentiment, R. Gregory Photography creates portraits tailored to the spark each individual caries within them; capturing the beauty, love and fun that is unique to that person or family, allowing them to remember that particular time for decades to come.
Commitment to Art and Preservation of Photography
We are a studio and business that is based on the creation and production of custom artwork. There are many steps to the process. We take great care to handle each part of the process to give you the best quality. We want you wowed! We also feel it is important for family members to enjoy the beauty and the sense of belonging that print products provide.
This is why we don’t just take a large number of images and send you a digital gallery without guiding you through the final product. There is no accountability to quality with this approach. We acknowledge that there is a strong desire to share and preserve images files. We offer digital images but always provide printed portraits to accompany them. Purchasing your beautiful portraits as prints allows for archival permanence that surpasses the life of any digital image. Digitals can become corrupt or outdated with the advance of technology. Printed portraits last a lifetime!
